Downtown Panama City

The Leisure Services Division provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for citizens of all ages. The programs range from organized activities for senior citizens to baseball, softball and basketball league games and other athletic activities.

Leisure Services currently maintains over 220 developed acres that include ball fields, tennis courts, parks, community centers, two marinas, and four boat launch ramps.

The City sponsors over 1100 baseball and softball league games each year and over 300 events are held in city parks. During the course of a year, more than 60,000 city and county residents and tourists will utilize the wide variety of recreational opportunities provided by the City.

Panama City Marina

The Panama City Marina is located on the intercoastal Waterway one block from Downtown Panama City, and a mere 20 minutes from Panama City Beach. The Panama City Marina is a newly renovated 240-slip marina facility designed for all classes of vessels, from 30 feet to 120 feet with drafts to 10 feet. The Marina is open for business 7 days a week and has very competitive prices at it full-service fuel dock. The marina can accommodate vessels with 110/220 power and cable TV service at all slips.

The new Marina Store is fully stocked and has clean showers and laundry facilities and fax and copier service. Bicycles are also available for daily usage without charge. The marina also has a nighttime security guard service from 9:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.

The Panama City Marina is within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, coffee shops, The Panama City Marina Civic Center, art galleries, and a public library.

Weekday bus service is available the Panama City Mall and all major shopping centers in the City. The City of Panama City has permanent covered and uncovered boat slips available for vessels from 30 feet to 50 feet. Lease rates and terms are available by calling the Marina Store.


The Panama City Marina also has transient boat slips available throughout the year. Reservations are recommended and may be made by telephone or by marine radio on VHF Channel 16. The charge is $1.50 per foot per day, which includes electricity and cable TV.

Boat Ramps

The City of Panama City has four public boat ramps. All boat ramps are open to the public 24- hours a day and there is no charge for launching a boat.

The Panama City Marina Boat Ramp is located near the southeast side of the Marina Civic Center on Harrison Avenue.

The Carl Gray Park Boat Ramp is located on Collegiate Drive adjacent to Gulf Coast Community College.

The St. Andrews Marina Boat Ramp is located on Bayview Avenue, one block off Beck Avenue at 11th Court.

The Bob George Park Boat Ramp is located in the 100 block of Church Avenue in the Millville area of the City. If you would like additional information regarding boat ramps in Panama City, please call 872-7272.

St. Andrews Marina

The St. Andrews Marina crew can assist you with directions, accommodations and reservations. Southern Hospitality at its finest.

Located on the ICW MM 287 (Red #6). The marina is open 7 days a week with 24th hours fuel service. The St. Andrews Marina can accommodate vessels with 110/220 power and cable. St. Andrews Marina store is fully stocked with shower facilities, laundry, internet access, fax and copier service with night time security.

St. Andrews Marina has served the commercial and recreational boating community since 1959. Our historic seaport attracts hundreds of visitors each month who come to watch the men and women who make their living harvesting the sea offload their daily catch. Many of the shrimp boats using St. Andrews as their homeport will sell shrimp directly to the public. Coolers and ice are available, along with many other items, at the Marina Store. The St. Andrews Marina is within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, coffeehouse , grocery and marine services. City trolley service is available to take you around town and to the beaches area.
